We are excited to announce that BLOOM has been selected to design a three-phase project for the Boys and Girls Club of Lynn, MA. The phases include a new 20,000 sq. ft. 3-story steel framed building connecting two historic buildings, a complete renovation of the 1922 historic Knights of Columbus building facing North Common Street, and renovations and upgrades to the 1945 Art Deco Gymnasium building.
The combined 50,000 sq. ft. program will include learning and tech areas, sports, fitness, dance, drama, gaming, and arts for all age groups, including a dedicated teen center, and a school-age child care center. A second gymnasium will provide separate areas for different age groups, and an increased capacity.
The new, fully accessible facility will modernize the aging structures, provide new building systems, and create open, flexible, contemporary spaces to provide kids with a place to socialize, learn, develop and grow.
