BLOOM has been working on an expansion of this mixed-use building from a two-family to a three-family building, while keeping the street level laundromat intact. BLOOM guided the project through the Maverick Square neighborhood review process and ZBA, incorporating feedback from various stakeholders through approval. We are looking forward to the start of construction soon, check back for updates!

The stepping back of the new 4th floor echoes the 1st floor footprint, and distinguishes the historic facade from the new addition. A more neutral (non-pink!) facade color will give the building a more contemporary feel.
