Lynn, MA
This new 148-unit workforce housing development occupies two lots in central Lynn. The design premise was simple: make an efficient, cost-effective design that priorities constructability. The challenge was to make the building dynamic, activate the pedestrian street, and harmonize with the surrounding context of older building stock. Treading nimbly on the ground plane, this dense 5-story development utilizes strategic cuts, fold and facade articulations to create a varied streetscape.
